Surface the files that need attention before they stall a queue.

Operations teams spend time triaging their own queues — sorting through incoming files to find the ones that don't fit the standard pattern. That is first-pass work that a supervised workflow can handle before a trained reviewer opens anything.

What exception triage handles

For each incoming batch, the workflow reviews files against the expected pattern for that document type and flags items that fall outside normal bounds before the batch reaches the review queue.

  • Flags packets with unusual field combinations or format mismatches
  • Identifies files with conflicting information across documents
  • Surfaces items missing expected context for their document type
  • Separates clean files from exception-flagged files before reviewers open anything
  • Produces a triage summary for each batch

When to look at this

  • Reviewers pre-sort before they can start Your team is spending the first part of each session figuring out which files need escalation before any actual review work happens.
  • Exceptions surface late Files that need escalation or rework are being identified mid-review, after trained staff has already invested time opening and reading the packet.
  • Clean files and problem files arrive together Your queue mixes straightforward packets with exceptions, so every reviewer has to be prepared for either — even when the ratio favors clean files.
